Well I'm buckled down now and have a new partner in crome, so you'll be seeing that for once in our existence projects are actually getting done ^_^ . The new OVA, Love Hina Again is just the first. We've finished up episode 1 of that "Kanako" and will be doing the other 2 episodes as they are released. For now episode 1 is up for distro on SVCD and VHS, it also includes the textless ending on both formats. Arion is finishing my dirty work (a.k.a. CCS) and I'm moving on to the Cowboy Bebop movie, so look forward to seeing those on the distro list by weeks end. The parody is also looking good and we've got an official timeslot for Fanime (YAY!). I will keep updates on the parody on the website as we work through it. Also, our new prospective project is the X tv series, however we need sponsors, so please help us!</div> <bR> <div> - (11/03/01) Small update for now. Card Captor Sakura ep 65 is done. Julie's also decided to up the ante and max out the possible bitrate, so from now on, SVCD's will only have 1 ep (After Card Captor Sakura's done, we're moving on to miniDVD). We will however lower the distribution rate for them though. So look out world, here comes Forkin' Studios with fansub DVD's</div> <bR> <div> - (10/17/01) OUCH! 2 months gone, eeeek. Yea, lot's happened but i'll spare you guys the horrid details. The Escaflowne and Ah My Goddess movies are Complete. However, due to technical difficulties we were only able to master them into VHS (Hontoni Gomen Nasai!). They're both private, but if you qualify you may still be able to acquire them. Right now we're working hard to finish Card Captor Sakura and the X OVA. New project however is Cowboy Bebop: the compilation (directors cut episodes). We're also working hard on a fandub parody titled "Tomoyo does Cardcaptors" which is set to debut at Fanime 2002! The cast is set and the script is coming along great. I've even been getting loads of advice from Andrew Hosking (Director of ReDeath and Fanboy Bebop) . A lot of excitement is in the air ^_^</div> <div> - (08/12/01) I apologize for the last few weeks. Too much fun, little work. It really doesn't matter, even though it's back to the dorms in 2 weeks, which also means I may actually have someone else helping me. FINALLY! As for projects, Card Captor Sakura 63 - 64 SVCD should be released by weeks end and 65 - 66 following shotly. We also have a new project we will put on top priority. We had some problems originally when encoding our new SVCD's, but it's all worked out now. Card Captor Sakura movie 2 will be done remastering by this week's end. Remastering of CCS 59-62 will be done by next Wednesday, and since it is already done, we just have to remaster it, CCS 67-70 will be done by the end of next week. Ben sincerely apologizes for the delays because they were all his fault to begin with. Hopefully though, within the next month, we will be able to finish off the Card Captor Sakura series and also the Utena movie ^_^</div> <bR> <div> - (04/03/01) Today a little bit of bad news. By request of the group who made the Utena movie script we are using, since this title is commercial, we will not be able to distro it, it is thus a private project. However we will be taking sponsors because of the ammount of money this project requires, and ONLY they will get SVCD or VHS copies (whichever they request) once the project is completed. We do have some good news however general distribution of SVCD's will be available starting next week. Ben and I are amazed at the DVD-like quality we have been getting with our personal masters and have decided to share it with the rest of the otaku community. The price from them has been set to 8$ per disc. I apologize for the amount but it's necessary to guarantee the quality we put into them.</div> <bR> <div> - (04/02/01) A couple of things to say. First of all, we apologize for the inconvenience at Fanime even though it was not our fault. Personally im still pissed that noone came to tell about the problem even though they knew I was in the line for Kunihiko Ikuhara autographs and didn't find out till I got the autographs 45 mins after the video should have started. Anyway, enough of that ^_^ , Fanime was a success nonetheless. I've been asked if the distro copy includes Leave it to Kero-chan then movie which we also showed at Fanime, and the answer is yes it does ^_^, I loved it as much as all of you guys did. One last thing, since I forked out a huge amount of money for the Utena movie import DVD at Fanime (Yes, I got it signed by Kunihiko Ikuhara. The outside cover AND the DVD itself is signed ^_^), we will be remastering it in SVCD. The bad news is, it's supposedly commercial even though there is still no release date on it. As of yet we do not know if it will be private or public, but we will be taking sponsors for it and they are guarenteed SVCD masters as soon as we finish it. Oh, and also, our source for CCS 63-66 is here, editing is currently in progress.</div> <bR> <div> - (03/25/01) VCD Distro will be cut down just to Dragonball GT 13-16 for now. Why? Because everything else is being remastered into SVCD. Also Ben and I have been playing with the idea of maybe starting to distro SVCD's. If we do though, they will cost a bit but remember the quality is better than VHS, almost DVD and unlike VHS, it will NEVER degrade. The price will probably be around 8$ for a disc with 2 eps, because of the horrible amount of work we have to put into making them.</div> <bR> <div> - (03/24/01) Card Captor Sakura movie 2 is COMPLETE and now up for distro. Therefore from now on, we will be working mainly on projects as SVCD and distributing as VHS and regular VCD. Quality of VHS's is the same as if they were genlock subbed, except it goes directly to the VHS from the player, no genlock quality reduction. SVCD's however will only be made available to sponsors considering the ammount of work they take to make. We believe this is the first step to creating fansub DVD's.
